Alucita hexadactyla Linné Univoltine (VI-VII.). Host is Lonicera. The larva feeds in flowerbuds and flowers and also mines the leaves. The brownish transparent "inflated" mine is on the leaf margin. The faeces is irregularly scattered in it. The fully grown caterpillar leaves the mine and pupates in the soil. Holarctic species, recorded at many places in Hungary. The mine is very similar to mine of Perittia oleae, but this species has not yet been recorded from Hungary. |
