Coleophora laricella Hübner
Lepidoptera: Coleophoridae

Univoltine (IX-V), its host is Larix. First mines inside the needle. This mine is full of faeces. Later makes a sack from the mined needle and mines from it. It can cause considerable needle loss, when abundant. Occurs in Europe, has a scattered distribution in Hungary because its host is also sporadic.
