Coleophora paliatella Zck. Univoltine (IX-V.). Hosts are Quercus species. Larva mines from a sack. The sack is covered with a bright whit, scale-like coat. The larva mines only when young, later chews holes in the leaves. The mines are bilateral blotch mine with a small circular hole and without faeces. Several related species makes identical mines, these can not be distinguished by mines. North and Central European species, recorded from many places in Hungary. |
