Leaf mines and leaf miners

Lepidoptera: Coleophoridae

Several related species in this genus makes similar, bilateral, transparent mines with small hole containing no faeces. These cannot be identified without seeing the sacks. Most species are polyphagous, can feed on Quercus, Carpinus and other broadleaved trees.
