Isochnus populicola (Silverberg)
Coleoptera: Curculionidae

Univoltine (VIII-X.). Host are Populus and Salix. The female lays her eggs on the underside of the leaves. The young larva bores trough to the upper surface. The mine is an irregular blotch mine on the upper surface. The upper epidermis on the mine either brown or grey. European species.
