Phyllocnistis saligna Zeller
Lepidoptera: Phyllocnistidae

Bivoltine (V-VI. and VIII.). Hosts are Salix species particularly the smooth leaved ones. The mine is a long, narrow and shallow tunnel. Begins on a leaf and continues through the young shoots reaching another leaf. The fully grown larva pupates in a small cradle under the folded leaf margin. European species.
