Phyllocnistis xenia Hering
Lepidoptera: Phyllocnistidae

Bivoltine (V-IX.), host is Populus alba. The larva mines slightly under the epidermis. The mine is a silvery white long serpentine, with a well defined middle line formed by faeces. The larva pupates on the leaf margin. European species, widespread and common in Hungary.
