Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae

Bivoltine (VII. and IX-X.). Main host is Corylus, but can also be found on Sorbus. The caterpillar makes a blotch mine on the upper surface. It is silvery blotch when young later pulls the leaf together. Usually more than one mine can be found on one leaf. Occurs in North and Central-Europe, common in Hungary.
