Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae

Bivoltine. The caterpillar makes a blotch mine on the underside of the leaf. It pulls the leaf together, forming a tent-shaped protrusion with a green island-like spot on top of it. The caterpillar is yellowish brown with dark brown head capsule. Occurs in North and Central-Europe, common in Hungary.
