Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae

Bivoltine (VII. and IX-X.). Monophagous, host is Carpinus. The mine is on the upper surface, with silvery shine when young. Later pulls the leaf together. Occurs in North and Central Europe, can be found, but not too common in Hungary's mountainous regions.
