Pytagromyza populi Kaltenbach
Diptera: Agromyzidae

Bi- or multivoltine (VI. and IX-X.). Hosts are Populus nigra and its hybrids. The mine is a greenish irregular serpentine on the upper surface. The faeces can be seen in small, irregularly deposited piles. The larva pupates at the end of the mine. Occurs in most of Europe, common and at some places abundant in Hungary.
