Stigmella anomalella (Goeze)
Lepidoptera: Nepticulidae

Bivoltine (VII. and IX-X.), hosts are Rosa species. The mine is a long, gradually widening serpentine. The faeces fill the whole mine in the first part later is deposited in the middle line. Occurs in Europe, common everywhere in Hungary. It must be mentioned, that several closely related species make very similar mines, these species can hardly be identified seeing the mines only.
