Stigmella oxyacanthella Stainton Uni- or bivoltine (V. and VII-VIII.). Hosts are Crataegus, Mespilus and Prunus. The green larva makes a long, strongly serpentine and gradually widening mine. The faeces is in the middle line in the first part of the mine, later deposited in bends and fills up most of it. In the last part it is concentrated again on the middle line. Occurs in Europe, can be found in Hungary. |
