Tischeria dodonea Stt.
Lepidoptera: Tischeriidae

Univoltine (IX-IV.). Hosts are Quercus and Castanea. Brown blotch mine on the upper surface. Concentric circles can be seen in the mine. The larva overwinters in the mine. North and Central European species, recorded form many places in Hungary. Skin of a dead caterpillar and the pupa of the parasitoid killing it can be seen on the photo on right.
