16-18 mm. Occurs from Central and Southern Europe to Western Siberia. Foodplants are the Lonicera species. Widespread in the montane forests of the Carpathians, and introduced to Hungary with its foodplants. Larvae feed in longitudinal galleries in the branches and trunk of the foodplant. Development takes two years. Adults can be seen on sunny days from May to July, feeding on the main veins of the leaves of the foodplant.
